Our Footprint

Our principle conservation goal is to show that the economic, social and environmental value of private sector ‘non-consumptive’ tourism is greater and more sustainable than ‘consumptive’ tourism in remote wilderness areas in Tanzania. This goal is an important catalyst in securing the entire Selous Game Reserve for conservation.

In part our initiatives are to:
Protect all wildlife in the area by paying for the hunting quota and abolishing trophy hunting.

\Increase employment opportunities for local people and investing in their training rather than importing expertise from afar.

Grow SMMEs (Small, Medium and Micro-Enterprises) to increase the capacity of community to generate wealth sustainability from a broader natural resource base.
